Get ready to vote in Port Moody
Voting is an important way to participate in our democracy and on issues that directly affect you and your family. On October 15, 2022, residents of Port Moody will elect a mayor, six councillors and two school board trustees.
There are three ways you can vote:
- Mail-in Ballot – Click here for more information.
- Advance Voting on Wednesday, October 5 and Saturday, October 8 at the Recreation Complex – Click here for more information.
- General Voting Day – Saturday, October 15, 8am to 8pm at polling locations around the city.
Voter Eligibility
If you’ve voted before, you are likely on the BC Provincial List of Voters. If not, you can register at the time of voting. The City’s web page has more details on how to register and the identification you will need.
Getting to the polls
If you are unable to get to the polls, please let me know and I will work to get you a ride or help you get a mail-in ballot.
Scrutineers
Every candidate can appoint scrutineers, also known as candidate representatives, to observe the voting proceedings and scrutinize the vote counting process. If you’d like to volunteer for this position, please contact me.
